The Institute for Food and Drug Control is located in New Belgrade at Smolućska no. 11.
The Institute uses an integrated and multidisciplinary approach to control food and animal feed, from the aspect of health and quality, and scientific-research work aimed at improving food production and control.
The institute has a standardized approach to tests and a large analytical capacity, given that there is competent staff, appropriate equipment and space.
In addition to the standard methods prescribed by the current Regulations (ISO, SRPS ISO, AOAC), the Institute’s departments use standard methods from the European regulations for food and feed safety, the pharmacopoeia, and more than 100 methods are accredited according to the SRPS ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard. .
